QA/QC Manager – Traylor Industrial

We have an average workforce of 100+ field employees, working on projects ranging from $20,000 to $50 Million.

The Project QA/QC Manager is a member of the project management team, works with minimal corporate supervision, and leads the management of project quality. Responsibilities include technical support to all team members, managing the Project Quality Plan, and providing primary technical guidance.

• Organize and maintain project QA/QC files.
• Have a thorough knowledge of Traylor's quality procedures and manual.
• Plan and coordinate QA/QC activities with construction activities.
• Manage and evaluate implementation and effectiveness of the Project Quality Plan.
• Promote and maintain effective communications with Traylor corporate management, project management teams, and the engineer/client.
• Provide training to supervisors and crafts.
• May be called upon to oversee QA/QC on multiple projects.
• Assist and oversee development of a Project Quality Plan that addresses the client's quality requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews to confirm implementation of the Plan, document findings, and take corrective actions.
• Perform inspections and tests as required.
• Develop and maintain liaison with clients' QA/QC representatives.
• Be a liaison with third‑party testing agencies.
• Provide QA/QC input to task planning.
• Ensure that tests are performed at the correct time and that test results are interpreted timely.
• Track and document the cost of rework.
• Provide training to lower‑level QA/QC managers and supervisors.
• Answer technical questions and resolve problems.
• Ensure files of welders' certifications and status logs are maintained and submitted to Regional QA/QC monthly.
• Perform all other job‑related duties as requested by supervisor.

• Four‑year engineering or science degree with at least two years in a QA/QC position; OR associate degree with four years experience and at least two years in QA/QC; OR high‑school graduate + ten years experience with at least four years in QA/QC.
• Broad knowledge of all crafts, special processes, inspection, and testing techniques.
• Knowledge of construction industry codes (ACI, API, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.).
• Certifications from AWS, ACI, API, ASNT, NACE, etc. preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in varied temperatures.
