Must live within zone coverage.

Job Summary:

Oversees produce department operations for multiple stores within an assigned geographic area. Trains and develops retail partners to ensure proper execution of produce operations and to achieve expected financial objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists management with interviewing, hiring, training, and developing partners; appraising performance, administering rewards and discipline; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Works in conjunction with retail management to evaluate pay and issues.

Oversees the execution of produce category management programs at the retail level to ensure correct product placement according to schematic plans, maintenance of pricing accuracy, and fulfillment of negotiated vendor promotions.

Offers recommendations to category management and retail leadership for process improvements.

Performs in-store condition inspections related to product date, quality, presentation, and temperature. Ensures adherence and compliance of all food safety regulations and product origin labeling.

Supports the execution of processes related to inventory replenishment, control, and general management of the produce category.

Analyzes and interprets reports and retail store results; assists with forecasting sales, trends, and industry innovations.

Conducts store visits within assigned geographic territory to ensure alignment with Company programs and initiatives.

Serves as a liaison between category management and retail operations; assists with vendor relations.

Attends period-end category management strategy meetings and assists with sales plan development.

Indirectly responsible for sales, shrink, profit/loss, market share, and human capital metrics for produce departments in assigned geographic territory.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced knowledge of retail produce departments.

Intermediate knowledge of software systems used for the purpose of planning, forecasting and budgeting.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.

Intermediate knowledge of WFM (Workforce Management).Basic mathematical skills.
