Life Insurance Sales Agent (Full‑time, Field)

Kemper is one of the nation’s leading specialized insurers. We serve modest‑income families, focusing on frequent personal home visits to collect premiums, conduct sales, and address service needs. New agents undergo paid training to obtain licensing, after which they receive an existing book of business and earn commissions on policies sold and premiums collected.

• Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales
• Prospect for new sales opportunities
• Maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre‑arranged schedule
• Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans
• Record keeping, accounting for money collected, and processing policy paperwork

• Grow the assigned territory through new sales
• Build strong working relationships with customers
• Devote the time necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role
• Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness

• Customer service experience
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage
• Dependable vehicle for daily travel
• Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening
• Authorization to work in the United States

Free access to study tools and professional guidance to prepare for licensing exams is provided. New agents complete an onboarding development program that includes self‑study, classroom instruction, and field mentoring by the Sales Manager, followed by on‑the‑job training while earning a paycheck.
