The Security Officer position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and company property. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, customers, and colleagues, maintaining a positive and professional environment and supporting overall security operations.

The minimum qualifications required for this position include a High School Diploma or GED, English proficiency, reliable transportation and communication, and the ability to submit to and pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background check. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service. Preferred qualifications include prior security, law enforcement, or customer service experience, as well as working knowledge of security operations and procedures.

The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring, observing, and reporting activities and incidents on company premises, protecting company personnel, visitors, and property by enforcing regulations and procedures, and maintaining visitor logs, deliveries, and exports. The role requires conducting regular patrols on foot or by vehicle to ensure security and identify irregularities, controlling facility access through the admittance process, and responding to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, hazardous materials, weather conditions, and other urgent situations.

Security Officers must also preserve order, protect evidence or incident scenes when required, prepare daily logs and reports in a professional manner, and perform duties under all weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments.

Security Officers work in both indoor and outdoor environments, often standing or walking for extended periods. The position requires exposure to varying weather conditions and occasional interaction with difficult situations or individuals, requiring professionalism and composure at all times.

Employees must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time, often up to or exceeding 8 hours a day. They must also use their hands to handle, reach, or control equipment and be capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
