Full-time | Tyler, TX, US

Salary Range: $14.00 To $17.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Assist crew with tasks required for underground service installation and repair projects, including material loading and unloading.
• Perform hand digging and assemble material needed at multiple locations.
• Install or repair conduits, cables, pedestals, handholes, and operate digging equipment.
• Terminate and splice cables, work on lines and equipment up to 600 volts unsupervised.

Work schedule:

• 5-day work week, 40-50 hours, on-call as needed.
• May require weekends, evenings, holidays, and long unpredictable hours.
• Travel may be required.

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
• Must follow all safe work practices and be computer literate.
• Valid Texas Driver License required.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or occupational education focused on electrical services and construction.
• State-wide travel preferable.

Additional requirements:

• Work minimum 8 hours per day with unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Stand and walk for extensive periods on uneven surfaces.
• Perform stoop, crawl, forward bend, squat and bend at knees and waist; grasp, reach, and work in narrow, confined areas.
• Lift tools, equipment, and material up to 50 pounds using upper body force.
• Work outdoors in all-weather conditions.
