Auto Body Technician

• Provide exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers
• Use tools to repair vehicle sections and align car chassis
• Replace or repair damaged sections, glass, windshields and interior parts
• Weld and fit parts into place
• Prepare and repaint vehicles

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade

Demonstrates expertise in vehicle repair, including disassembly, welding, and repainting, while ensuring exceptional customer service and accurate cost estimation. Proficient in using trade-specific tools and collaborating effectively within an auto body shop environment.
