Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to external and internal customer locations.
  • Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
  • Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
  • Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
  • Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
  • Hazmat and Air Brake certifications.
  • At least one (1) year of professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years.
  • Minimum age 21 years.
  • Proficiency in navigating and understanding material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs.; occasionally lift 76–125 lbs. with material‑handling equipment.
  • Comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to eight hours; frequent bending expected.
  • Availability for occasional overtime.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain safety credentials for customer site access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as a forklift.
