Local Delivery Driver (Class A with Hazmat)

- Benefits begin after 30 days of employment
- Load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to external and internal customer locations.
- Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
- Build lasting relationships with customers.
- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- Hazmat and Air Brake certifications.
- At least one (1) year of professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Proficiency in navigating and understanding material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs.; occasionally lift 76–125 lbs. with material‑handling equipment.
- Comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to eight hours; frequent bending expected.
- Availability for occasional overtime.
- Ability to obtain and maintain safety credentials for customer site access.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as a forklift.
