Select Chemistry’s CDL Hazmat Driver is responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. The position builds loads for deliveries and maintains a safe, clean, and well‑organized work environment; loads and unloads oilfield equipment, and ensures quality control and safe operations during all aspects of the operation.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to- Transport and deliver chemicals to regional internal customer sites within the region.
- Use forklift to unload chemical totes at delivery sites.
- Maintain DOT logs.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on company vehicles based on DOT requirements.
- Perform basic maintenance on company vehicles to ensure safe working condition.
- Communicate with direct supervisor regarding repairs needed for vehicles.

RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.
- Energy service experience helpful.
- Exhibit ability to be a strong team player.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and produce work of highest quality.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Haz‑Mat and Tanker endorsements.
- At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of highway and safety risks in oilfield operations.
- Proven safety record and stable work history.
- Chemical experience is a plus.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands and Exposures- Work is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
- Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to pass a DOT pre‑employment physical.
- Ability to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
