Job Description
A utility client is looking for an Operations/Warehouse Technician to join their team in Tyler, TX. The warehouse there is smaller and supports gas utility operations. This individual will manage the entire warehouse operations. It’s about the size of a three car garage. See responsibilities below-
- Manage daily operations of a small warehouse supporting gas utility operations
- Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials to employees and contractors
- Process material transactions and maintain inventory records in SAP
- Handle shipping and receiving activities, including unloading deliveries
- Restock materials and maintain warehouse organization
- Support contractor and field technician material requests throughout the day
- Transport materials between warehouse locations when needed
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

- SAP experience (receiving, issuing, inventory management, material transactions)
- Warehouse and/or materials management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision
- Experience managing day-to-day warehouse operations
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (or obtain certification)
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Utility, gas distribution, or industrial warehouse experience
- Experience supporting field operations and contractors
- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
- Experience shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cycle counts
- Forklift certification
- Experience operating cranes, banding machines, or similar equipment
- Strong SAP reporting and inventory tracking skills
