We are looking to hire a full time Data Security Technician. This position reports directly to the GM/IT Director. The ideal applicant will have at least some experience with data security best practices or at the very least a strong understanding of IT equipment and components. Must have a very strong familiarity and skill with Microsoft Excel. We will give training on any other proprietary software we utilize.
Responsibilities- Performing logical data sanitization on hard drives and solid state drives
- Performing logical data sanitization on onboard devices such as Macbooks and other similar devices
- Performing physical data sanitization on all drive types via shredder
- Removing and scanning data devices from desktops, laptops and other types of devices
- Sorting and organizing drives/devices
- Creating Excel accountings and scanning of serial numbers
- Other duties as needed
This position requires a great deal of precision, concentration and attention to detail. Ideal applicant will be highly organized, determined and focused. There is little to no downtime. The work is fast paced and mistakes are very serious when handling sensitive data. A comprehensive NDA is required as part of the onboarding process for any hire.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong IT experience
- Data and Security related Certifications
- Previous hands‑on experience with Data Security operations
Regardless of experience level, full and complete training will be given to any hire.
