We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision components based on detailed engineering drawings. This position requires expertise in tight-tolerance machining, multi-axis lathe operations, and in-process quality control in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes using G/M code.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 8+ years of experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
- Proficient in reading and editing G/M code programs.
- Experienced with Multi-Axis Lathes
- Strong knowledge of tooling, work holding, and CNC machining processes.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, etc.).
