About Christ Church
Christ Church is an elder-led congregational church in Tyrone, Georgia. We are a little over four years old and part of the Treasuring Christ Together Network. We gather in Tyrone and serve families from Tyrone, Peachtree City, Sharpsburg, Fayetteville, Brooks, Senoia, Newnan, Fairburn, and the surrounding area.

The Lord has been kind to our church. We currently have around 130 adult members, around 90 children and youth, and average about 200 people on Sunday mornings. As the church continues to grow, we are seeking to add staff and prepare for future facility needs. Our desire is to be a healthy local church that glorifies God by making disciples who live in light of the gospel together.

About the Role
The Associate Pastor will serve alongside the Lead Pastor and elders to shepherd the church, lead ministries, develop leaders, and strengthen the discipleship and care of the church family. This role will give particular leadership to ministry leaders, the church's proactive shepherding system, and the pathway that helps people move from first visit to membership, service, growth, and leadership. We are looking for a pastor who loves the local church, enjoys people, communicates clearly, and can take responsibility for a ministry area from vision to implementation.

• Lead the Welcome, Shepherding and Care, and Discipleship departments.
• Build or direct the ministries within those departments, including men's ministry, women's ministry, children's ministry, youth ministry, family discipleship, and leader development.
• Set annual ministry plans, meeting rhythms, and clear expectations with the leaders who carry those ministries.
• Coordinate these ministries with the church's vision, calendar, priorities, and care for the whole body.

• Own the pathway from first visit to membership.
• Oversee the leaders and teams who welcome visitors, follow up with guests, and guide prospective members toward next steps.
• Strengthen the membership process so people are clearly guided into the life of the church.
• Guide new members toward relationships, service, and spiritual growth.

• Coordinate the church's proactive shepherding system so members are known, contacted, and cared for.
• Organize elders, care deacons, and ministry leaders around clear care responsibilities.
• Coordinate ordinary and crisis-care responses with the Lead Pastor and elders.
• Track care needs and follow-up so members do not fall through the cracks.

• Build and lead men's ministry directly for now.
• Oversee the leaders who carry women's ministry, children's ministry, youth ministry, and family discipleship.
• Create structures for members to enter discipleship relationships, disciple others, and share their faith.
• Develop a clear pathway from membership to service, growth, and leadership.

• Recruit, train, coach, and multiply leaders in the ministries he oversees.
• Identify men and women who can take greater responsibility in the life of the church.
• Lead training for ministry leaders, coordinators, and volunteers.
  Give leaders clear responsibility, regular feedback, and practical support.
• Teach in classes, membership settings, and leader-training contexts as needed.

• Preach approximately 6-10 times per year, depending on gifting and needs.
• Attend and participate in elder meetings from the beginning.
• Serve with the expectation that the church will assess and, Lord willing, affirm him as an elder after approximately 6-12 months.
