Property Accountant

Position Title: Junior Property Accountant

Location: Tysons, VA - fully on-site

Compensation: $26-29/hr

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description:

• Manage full-cycle, high-volume accounts payable processing using NEXUS software.
• Research and resolve vendor inquiries and W-9 discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute annual 1099 forms.
• Maintain accounts payable and cash receipts records and filing systems.
• Process tenant rent payments through electronic deposit scanning and post receipts in the accounting system.
• Reconcile cash receipts to bank records and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including reports and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and support additional accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• MRI or Yardi experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining quality and precision.
