Role Overview
Forvis Mazars' Federal Tax Specialty practice is experiencing exponential growth and is seeking talented professionals who are passionate about helping our clients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities- Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to provide subject matter knowledge and experience across industries such as manufacturing, technology, retail, and utilities.
- Identifying, analyzing, and qualifying value‑oriented benefits.
- Performing tax research related to technical tax topics.
- Updating and maintaining project milestones and action items.
- Conducting client interviews and reviewing client documentation.
- Substantiating results through presentations and written reports to clients.
- Assisting in the research and analysis of client data.
- Organizing incoming documents and files from clients.
- Providing project status updates to the client and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinating client appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining progress‑tracking data.
- Compiling and reviewing project reports.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing cross‑functional projects to serve client needs.
- Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance.
- Maintenance of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- All accounting (or job‑relevant) coursework completed with a grade of C or above.
- Intermediate Accounting completed with a grade of C or above, where applicable.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and ability to attend off‑site meetings and events in person.
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or other professional certifications' exams.
- Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work.

CompensationPursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. Hours over forty will be paid at time and a half for non‑exempt positions. Illinois Minimum Salary (USD): $74,000
Illinois Maximum Salary (USD): $78,000
