Senior Accountant

Beacon Hill has partnered with a client in the Tysons, VA area seeking a Senior Accountant to join their revenue accounting team. This role will support month‑end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting operations while helping ensure compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.
• Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting functions as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in revenue accounting, public accounting, or a technology‑focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• CPA or CPA candidate.
• Combination of public and private accounting experience.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
• ERP system experience, including implementation exposure.
  
  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.
