Senior Accounting Analyst
Location: Tysons, VA (Onsite)
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 base salary
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review customer invoices for Cost-Plus, Time & Materials, and fixed-price contracts
- Validate labor, subcontractor, and other direct costs for billing accuracy and contractual compliance
- Perform billing reconciliations and analyze unbilled receivables
- Assist with final invoices, final vouchers, and contract closeout documentation
- Monitor contract funding limitations and help resolve billing discrepancies
- Coordinate with Contracts and Program Management to support accurate and timely billing
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with balance sheet account analysis and financial statement reporting
- Support external audits and annual financial reporting requirements
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies and internal controls
- Assist with annual Incurred Cost Submissions
- Support indirect cost rate calculations, reconciliations, and true-up analyses
- Apply FAR Part 31 principles when reviewing allowable and unallowable costs
- Prepare supporting documentation for DCAA audits and compliance reviews
- Assist with final indirect rate settlements and contract closeout activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience required
- Prior experience within a government contracting environment strongly preferred
- Experience in government contract billing, project accounting, corporate accounting, or related accounting functions
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
- Strong account reconciliation and month-end close experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments
- ERP system experience preferred
