Technical Writer - College Graduate

Responsibilities

As a technical / proposal writer in the Proposal Center of Excellence, and within the broader marketing and communications function, you will develop complex proposals for government and commercial clients. Successful proposals win the work that M.C. Dean performs, positioning you at the forefront of the company’s future growth and direction.

• Write, edit, and proofread proposal materials in response to client requests and requirements while meeting established schedules and deadlines
• Learn the Federal procurement and contracting process
• Develop solutions to the challenges and requirements of large businesses, organizations, and Federal agencies worldwide
• Create strategies for addressing business challenges and opportunities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across specialized business units to research, document, and craft winning responses while learning how work is performed
• Conceptualize graphics, figures, tables, and other presentation techniques to enhance impact of information provided

• Bachelor’s degree
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• 0+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and write about complex subject matter
• Excellent time‑management and organization skills, handling multiple simultaneous projects with stringent deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people, skills, and personalities

• Bachelor’s degree in English/Literature or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Politic Science or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or similar
• Involvement with student newspapers or other publications
• Involvement with research journals
