Senior Business Analyst, Enterprise Transformation Position Details
Location:
Tysons, VA (hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Duration: 12 months, with option to convert to employee if appropriate Candidates must be local to Northern Virginia and able to work regularly onsite
Our client is one of the largest credit unions in the country, serving millions of members nationwide and headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. The organization has grown through decades of steady expansion in financial services, including more than two dozen acquisitions, and continues to push into new business lines and sectors. Their Enterprise Transformation function leads major cross functional change across the company, spanning AI enablement, cost governance, M&A integration, and program management office buildout.
This is a member owned institution known for stability and a deep bench of long tenured staff, currently investing heavily in modernizing how it delivers change across the business.
The Enterprise Transformation team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to manage and execute complex, cross functional projects across the organization. This person will support the scoping, design, implementation, testing, and operational readiness of new solutions, partnering with business units, Technology, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and outside vendors to define needs, document requirements, map processes, validate solutions, and drive adoption.
The right candidate has financial services experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the judgment to work independently in ambiguous, fast moving environments.
- Partner with Enterprise Transformation, project leaders, business stakeholders, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, Operations, and vendors to scope and implement enterprise solutions
- Lead analysis across discovery, current state assessment, future state design, requirements, testing, readiness, and post implementation support
- Develop clear requirements, process flows, decision points, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for both business and technical audiences
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions to gather requirements, clarify needs, resolve ambiguity, and align on design
- Translate complex processes, data flows, controls, and operating models into simple, actionable documentation
- Maintain process maps, traceability matrices, test scenarios, validation plans, issue logs, and governance artifacts
- Support test planning, test cases, defect triage, business validation, UAT, and production readiness
- Identify process gaps, controls, operational impacts, data dependencies, and readiness needs
- Keep requirements, designs, testing, and implementation aligned to scope, objectives, and timelines
- Prepare executive ready updates, decision materials, and status inputs that clearly communicate progress, risks, issues, and actions
- Current and future state process maps showing workflows, system interactions, handoffs, controls, and impacts
- Business and functional requirements, technical handoffs, and acceptance criteria aligned to scope
- Traceability artifacts linking objectives, requirements, design decisions, test scenarios, and outcomes
- Testing materials including scenarios, validation plans, UAT support, defect summaries, and signoff documentation
- Stakeholder analysis, meeting notes, action trackers, decision logs, issue logs, and dependency trackers
- Readiness materials including checklists, training inputs, procedure updates, communications, and BAU transition documentation
- Executive ready summaries that distill complex topics into concise, decision oriented language
- Recommendations for process improvement, simplification, risk reduction, and stronger delivery practices
- 5 to 8 years of business analysis, transformation, process improvement, technology delivery, operations, or project execution experience; financial services preferred
