Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Strategic Planner – Level 3 or Level 4, to join the Space sector Strategic Development organization, reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Development. The selected applicant will become a trusted member of a team responsible for leading Sector-level strategy, investment planning, and associated efforts. The preferred location for this role is McLean VA, or Redondo Beach CA.

We will consider other major NGC Space sector locations.

This role can be filled at either a Level 3 or 4.Role and Impact:

Collaborate with division and business unit leadership and strategy leads to understand their businesses, strategies, pipelines, and investment needs.

Partner with NGSP Chief Technology Office, division, and business unit teams to develop and recommend specific internal investments leveraging supporting data and financial analyses.

Work with strategic planning and technology planning leads to comprehend NGSP’s strategic objectives and the associated capability needs and gaps, developing investment plans to close those gaps.

Communicate NGSP internal investments strategy to multiple stakeholders, including corporate, sector, division, and business unit executive leadership through presentations and briefings.

Conduct strategic assessments of current financial plans, manage internal investments budgets, and support investment reviews to advance the development and refinement of the sector’s Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP).Work with sector, division, and business unit teams to adjust or reallocate investment budgets and plans as needed, both in-year and in preparation for future years.

Maintain records of budget and project approvals, pressures and opportunities, and associated documents.
