Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our talented team in support of a high‑profile client delivering large‑scale U.S. hyperscale campuses, including multi‑billion‑dollar developments, multi‑building sites, and major expansion programs.

This role is hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in the Tysons Corner, VA office, and includes approximately one week of travel per quarter to the client’s headquarters in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities
  • Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
  • Support client land acquisitions.
  • Deliver and present updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
  • Review proposed design changes and new technologies and prepare estimates with appropriate accuracy levels.
  • Understand design stages and estimate levels.
  • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises.
  • Prepare cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates and cost plans.
  • Analyze labor markets and cost drivers such as unions and taxes.
  • Support clients with monthly presentations.

    Deliver life cycle costing models.
  • Benchmark integration to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Perform SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a construction cost management role such as estimating, cost engineering, project engineering, or project cost controls.
  • Thrives in a client‑facing role.
  • Experience supporting program‑level cost management for medium or large‑scale construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.
