Guest Services Attendant

Summary

Guest Services Attendant will serve as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats. They will assist with last‑minute pre‑event needs, including setting up, decorating, and finding materials. They will also provide special accommodations for wheelchairs, other physically challenged patrons, senior citizens, students, and groups.

• Work in conjunction with House Managers.
• Serve as the first line of response for patron issues and concerns.
• Act as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats.
• Serve as coat check attendant.
• Assist with last‑minute pre‑event needs such as setting up, decorating, and finding materials.
• Provide special accommodations for wheelchairs and other physically challenged patrons, senior citizens, students, and groups.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Demonstrate exceptional customer relations, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered at work.
• Remain flexible and adapt to changing situations.

High school diploma or G.E.D. and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear. May require work inside or outside the building. Requires stooping and lifting; able to lift or move up to 25 lbs.
