Saltenna's Research Assistant will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of an entirely new scientific approach to communications and sensing. Saltenna has the world's foremost experts in Plasmonic science with hundreds of published papers and tens of patents, and the applicant will get to work with them and learn from them.

The Research Assistant will:

• work with our chief scientists to do experiments both in the field and in the lab;
• handle, transport, operate, maintain, fix, upgrade, and integrate equipment;
• secure access to testing locations;
• plan and organize tests;
• help run operations in Saltenna's lab and in the field; and
• provide general assistance to the scientific and engineering team.

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Experience working in scientific environments and performing or assisting in scientific experimentation and testing.
• Experience organizing/maintaining scientific and/or industrial equipment.
• Experience working in the field (outdoorsy), and capable of carrying heavy equipment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with audiences of diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

• PADI Open Water Dive certified or Scuba certified.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and business people.
• Ability to present a professional image for occasional field and customer‑facing duties.
