Telecom Estimator II

Piper Companies is looking for a Telecom Estimator II

to join a design-build and systems integration firm based out of Northern Virginia. This role requires the candidate to report onsite to Tysons Corner, VA.

• Gathering data and assisting in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals
• Performing take-offs from drawings; pricing change orders and conducting site visits to understand the constructability of projects
• Preparing bid packages and obtaining pricing from subcontractors and vendors
• Understanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements

• 2+ years experience working in the Communications field with added experience in low voltage systems
• 1-3 years’ experience working on estimates and proposal development
• Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, specifications, and other bid documents
• Accu Bid experience preferred
• Experience supporting Data Center builds is highly desired
• Must be able to obtain a federal security clearance

• $80,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
