Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer/Designer serves to design electrical systems for buildings such as high-rise buildings, data center, multifamily, retail/mixed-use spaces, and commercial spaces.
General Duties- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems for various facility types
- Produce electrical design drawings using Revit software
- Perform field investigations to assess existing conditions and gather project data
- Ensure quality control, scheduling, and programming of electrical design deliverables
- Coordinate and communicate progress with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and short‑circuit analysis
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in electrical design and construction
- Technical
Skills:- demonstrated project coordination and facilitation experience
- solid understanding of power distribution, emergency power systems, grounding, and lighting design
- experience with breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and voltage drop calculations
- familiar with electrical codes (NEC), energy efficiency standards (IECC), and industry best practices
- have experience with high‑rise electrical systems, hospitality power infrastructure, and renewable energy integration
- Adaptability:
Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for design and specifications
- Proficiency in Revit
- Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors
- Initiative:
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
