OverviewA growing multi-campus organization is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee live production operations across worship services, special events, and broadcast environments. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day production teams while ensuring high-quality execution of audio, video, lighting, staging, and technical operations.
Working closely with creative and technology leadership, you'll drive operational excellence, support future production planning, manage technical infrastructure, and help create engaging live experiences across multiple venues.
Responsibilities- Lead live production operations including setup, rehearsals, execution, strike, and restoration for worship services and special events.
- Oversee audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, and broadcast systems across multiple campuses.
- Manage production planning, logistics, technical schedules, and event execution from concept through completion.
- Supervise production staff, contractors, and volunteer teams while providing mentorship and day-to-day leadership.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, inventory management, vendor relationships, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with creative leadership to implement stage designs and technical production requirements.
- Develop production budgets, assist with purchasing, and support long-term technology planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and venue regulations.
- Support offsite events, conferences, and special productions by coordinating technical requirements and logistics.
- 5+ years of experience in live event or production operations leadership.
- Previous experience supporting production within a church environment.
- Strong leadership experience managing technical teams and volunteers.
- Expertise in live audio, lighting, video production, and broadcast systems.
- Experience with AV infrastructure, digital audio consoles, projection, and video switching technologies.
- Working knowledge of IP networking and Windows/macOS environments.
- Experience managing production schedules, budgets, vendors, and equipment lifecycle.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work flexible hours supporting weekend and special events.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
