Tax Manager

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $125-135K

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation with at least five years of public accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and overseeing tax preparation workflows.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and applicable professional standards and regulations.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including those for S corporations, C corporations, LLCs, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, consolidated and multi-state filings, and nonprofit organizations.

Job Description:

• Manages client relationships from onboarding through ongoing service, including overseeing billing and collections.
• Acts as the primary liaison between the firm and its clients.
• Reviews and authorizes tax returns prior to filing.
• Mentors, trains, and supervises team members, enhancing performance and engagement through thorough review, feedback, and evaluation of key performance indicators.
• Plans, assigns, and oversees team workloads to ensure efficient operations and profitability.
• Plays an active role in shaping the strategic goals and direction of the Tax department.
• Participates in business development initiatives, contributing to firm growth by attracting new clients and expanding services for existing clients.
• Tracks and evaluates changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry practices that may impact clients or the firm.
• Provides subject-matter leadership in specialized tax areas, including participation on tax committees.
