• Help clients identify, evaluate, and solve complex challenges to achieve strategic goals.
• Transform business processes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen internal controls and policies.
• Provide support for a Government agency within the homeland security enterprise and potentially other national security‑related organizations.
• Support key initiatives such as:
• Internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) in line with OMB Circular A‑123.
• Development and execution of corrective action plans and remediation strategies.
• Financial statement audit and audit risk management to maintain a clean audit opinion.
• Assessment and implementation of new guidance impacting financial operations.
• Apply analytical, problem‑solving, and reporting skills to document and evaluate business processes.
• Produce communications ranging from informal emails to formal memos, presentations, and executive briefings.
• Conduct research, collaborate with team members, and recommend solutions.
• Assist clients in risk analysis, mitigation planning, data analysis, modeling, and policy development.
• Engage in business development activities, coaching, mentoring, and learning‑development initiatives.

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; preferred ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of financial experience.
• High attention to detail and strong written and graphical presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Interest in a career in Government/Federal/Defense and National Security consulting.
• Team orientation and the ability to produce high‑impact deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to utilize project management best practices to deliver quality work on time.

• Proven knowledge of federal financial reporting and related guidance (OMB Circular A‑136, GAO Green Book, CFO Act, FMFIA, TFM, GAO/PCIE).
• Experience with federal audit support, corrective action planning, and internal control remediation.
• GAAP accounting expertise and understanding of U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL).
• Certifications such as CPA, CGFM, PMP are preferred.
• Knowledge of federal accounting, budgeting, audits, and financial risk management.
