Key Responsibilities for the Interim CFO:
- Oversee financial operations and help close accounting backlogs.
- Lead federal grant compliance, reimbursement processes, and funding requirements.
- Guide audit preparation and support nonprofit audit activities.
- Develop and support FY2027 budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership and the Board on financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and support the finance team while helping prioritize workload and deliverables.
Qualifications for the Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO):
- CFO or senior finance leadership experience within a nonprofit environment
- Strong expertise in federal grants, compliance, and funding regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of nonprofit audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience presenting financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to executive leadership and boards.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Sage Intacct and , a plus
Salary: $150K - $165K
