The Houseperson - Events is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight, in this fast-paced position.
The rate of pay for this position is $15.35/hour. This position is eligible for overtime and service charges.
Qualifications- Interact with guests in a courteous, polite and helpful manner
- Set up / break down meeting rooms per event order requirements.
- Record details for services and supplies
- Transport materials such as staging, tables and chairs to the banquet hall
- Check and appropriately adjust room temperature and lights and ensure that electric hook-ups are in working order
- Set supplies such as waters, pens, pads and information packs on each table, based on client details
- Maintenance of the meeting areas during and after each event such as vacuuming the floors, and removing all trash etc.
- Replenish beverages and food items as necessary and respond to any special requests from guests
- Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms.
- Remove and drop all dirty/soiled linen at the end of your shift.
- Restock all linen shelves and organized your work area etc.
- Assist Events Staff as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
- Flexible Schedule as event start/end times may vary or event pop up may take place.
