Location: Hybrid to McLean (2-3x/week on site)

Assignment Type: 3-month contract with potential to extend

Compensation
: $30-40/hr

Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience managing payroll for organizations with 5,000+ employees
  • Proven experience processing multi-state payroll; familiarity with Canadian payroll is a plus.
  • BS degree preferred but not required
Responsibilities
  • Manage U.S. and Canadian wage garnishments and support orders, working closely with Legal and third-party administrators.
  • Process IRS lock-in letters and prepare monthly payroll journal entries.
  • Coordinate payroll-related payments with government agencies and the Treasury team.
  • Review bi-weekly payroll results for U.S. hourly and salaried employees, making adjustments as needed.
  • Partner with third-party administrators on off-cycle payroll, corrections, and one-time payments.
  • Oversee payroll funding for net pay, taxes, and garnishments in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Support bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, tax, and compliance activities.
  • Provide payroll data for audits and management reporting.
  • Handle post-payroll administration, including returned payments, unclaimed property reporting, and Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries and assist with cross-training, documentation, and payroll system testing.
