At Corsha we’re not just selling software; we’re fundamentally reshaping how the most critical industrial and operational technology (OT) systems are secured. We’re a cyber startup in the DC area, driven by a mission to bring trust, resilience, and identity to the operational systems that power our world – from factories to power grids. We’re building the future of machine identity security.
Mission& Role
This isn’t just a role; it’s a mission. We need a data visionary to turn raw data into meaningful insights that organizations can use to improve decision‑making and operations. You’ll extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data, using machine learning and statistical tools to make it accessible and useful for our business. If you thrive on translating complex data into compelling solutions for the real world, this is your arena.
Responsibilities- Data Strategist & Storyteller: Identify, collect, and clean data to uncover patterns and trends, then translate complex findings into clear, digestible narratives for diverse technical and business audiences.
- Model Builder & Innovator: Train, evaluate, and deploy statistical and machine learning models to forecast outcomes and solve business challenges, handling issues like data leakage and out‑of‑sample distributions.
- Bridge to Engineering: Act as a critical feedback loop, gathering data requirements and technical hurdles to directly influence the product roadmap. Collaborate with software developers to deploy models into production and enable Corsha products.
- Problem Solver & Trust Builder: Identify and analyze business problems, using data to develop effective solutions and provide clear, actionable insights.
- 2‑5+ years as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, applied scientist, or similar.
- Strong fundamentals in statistics and/or machine learning, with data processing, model selection, and addressing common modeling issues.
- Hands‑on experience with Python and SQL.
- A builder mindset – you’ve built models for production systems, not just reports.
- Good engineering practices: documentation, testing, version control.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, computer science, math, physics, economics) or demonstrated mastery of related theory.
- Excellent communication skills to adapt your message for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- OT expertise – understanding industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA), control systems, and security challenges of operational technology.
- Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
- Cybersecurity background.
- Experience with network flow or packet capture data.
- Experience training Large Language Models (LLMs) or creating AI Agents.
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
- Front‑row seat to impact: directly contribute to securing critical infrastructure and industrial systems.
- Pioneer the future of machine identity, OT cybersecurity, and AI.
- High growth, high influence: your voice will be heard and your contributions will shape product and GTM strategy.
- Collaborative and driven culture: innovation, curiosity, and honest communication.
- Competitive compensation & benefits: wellness days, generous PTO, company‑covered healthcare, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, snacks, lunch, and sustenance.
