Credence has an immediate need for a Service Now Developer to support a large-scale modernization effort for a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) system with massive national impact. This role supports technical solution design and development/implementation of solutions that leverage the out-of-the-box Service Now modules and a Custom App to migrate legacy applications to the DLA Enterprise Service Now platform. Successful candidates will also have experience with Next Experience, Work spaces, and Service Portal UI.
Hands-on experience with Service Now components, such as Predictive Intelligence, Change Management, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, CMDB, CSM, Knowledge Management, and Self-Service Portal, is required.
Responsibilities:
- Experience performing Service Now analysis, architecture, and application development or similar responsibilities.
- Provide insight and expertise into the Service Now platform capabilities and roadmap.
- Proficient with business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, flow designer, and notifications.
- Understand the business context and translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable Service Now implementation.
- Formulate and define specifications for complex software applications and maintain/modify existing systems using manufacturer utilities and engineering releases.
- Design software, hardware, and communication architectures to meet enterprise and cross-functional requirements, ensuring compliance with DoD open systems standards.
- Provide presentations to senior stakeholders on solution approaches and roadmaps.
- Manage the Service Now solution design, development, testing, and go-live support.
- Collaborate with project resources to define sustainment governance and processes as part of operational transition.
- Work with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify and refine data requirements.
- Provide guidance to convert requirements into design and migration steps.
- Collaborate with customer SMEs and senior leadership to ensure systems requirements are met.
- Eliminate obstacles and drive results that positively impact business performance; help the organization achieve results.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and production deployment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Service Now Certified Application Developer and Service Now Certified System Administrator certifications required.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or five (5) years of equivalent work experience.
- Experience developing Service Now applications using the Next Experience, Work spaces and/or Service Portal UIs.
- Strong understanding of Service Now's architecture, data model, and core concepts.
- Experience with APIs in a Service Now platform to support Low-Code/No-Code Development.
- Knowledge of configuring Service Now to receive requests from the API Gateway, including HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and response handling.
- Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development using Service Now Agile 2.0 for user story task management.
