Cyber Architect supporting a large, mission-driven organization operating in a regulated federal environment, with onsite work required three days per week in Washington, DC or Manassas, VA. This is a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire role focused on designing, implementing, and operating enterprise‑scale cybersecurity architecture that protects critical systems and cloud workloads.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering initiatives across enterprise systems
- Own Splunk ES configuration, data onboarding, CIM mapping, and optimization
- Administer and optimize a CASB platform (Skyhigh) to manage cloud visibility and risk
- Design and support cloud security controls in AWS and hybrid environments
- Partner with stakeholders to align security architecture with organizational objectives
- 8+ years of IT experience with strong focus on cybersecurity architecture or engineering
- Hands‑on experience with Splunk and security monitoring tools
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS required)
- Strong background in network and identity security technologies
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
