Position: Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester with Security Clearance
Location: Tysons Corner

Overview GovCIO is seeking a QA Engineer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with manual testing in a federal government client environment. This customer-facing role will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will be located on client site in Tysons Corner, VA. Responsibilities We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with government contracting experience.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience, a strong understanding of Amazon Webservices (AWS), Jira, and X-Ray is a plus.
* Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle.
* Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set.
* Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.
* Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing.
* Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications.
* Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly developed code base.
* Agile/Scrum Methodologies:
Working in iterative development cycles with cross-functional teams.
* Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers. Qualifications Required

Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field.
* 5-8 years of experience in IT
* 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
* Experience with Jira, X-ray, AWS
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban.
* US Citizenship is required

Clearance Required:

* Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust Preferred
