Job Description
At Veilant we are doing meaningful work in the defense space, and we need a sharp Contract Administrator to help us do it right. This is not a paper‑pushing role. This is a seat at the table where contracts meet mission, and the person who fills it will have real ownership over our DOD portfolio. WhatYou Will Own
You will manage contracts from cradle to grave across FFP and IDIQ/Task Order vehicles, with a focus on keeping Veilant compliant, competitive, and protected. You will partner closely with Program Managers and Project Managers, collaborate with finance and legal, and serve as the internal expert on FAR and DFARS compliance. When questions come up, you are the one with answers.
In Your First 6 Months, You Will:- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Veilant's contracts portfolio, along with all associated compliance and operational processes
- Transition to full administrative ownership of Veilant’s DOD contracts and Independent Contractor processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Build trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders, particularly Program Managers and Project Managers, to ensure alignment on contract execution
- 2 to 5 years of contract administration experience supporting DOD portfolios
- Experience managing FFP and IDIQ/Task Order contracts
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Active Secret clearance (minimum)
- Prior experience with a prime defense contractor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field
- NCMA certification (CPCM or CFCM) or pursuit of same
- Experience with contract management systems such as Deltek or similar platforms
- Familiarity with government property and subcontract management

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
