Position: Data Scientist III with Security Clearance
Location: Tysons Corner

Overview The Data Scientist III provides comprehensive Data Engineering support for the Product Manager Biometrics (PM BIO), under Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS), Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE), Layered Protection and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN). Responsibilities
· Provide infrastructure support, enabling interoperability between key government biometric systems to facilitate rapid data sharing among DoW and interagency partners.
· Provide Cloud application operations, maintenance, and continual enhancement activities. Implement and audit security controls to maintain compliance with government standards.
· Assist in obtaining a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) for the Cloud environment(s), to include generating RMF documentation and artifacts, performing vulnerability scans, and conducting IAVM monitoring and response activities.
· Provide user training on operating applications in the cloud. Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline or Two (2) additional years of relevant experience
· Professional-level certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or CISSP
· Six (6) years in a cloud engineering, Dev Ops, or cloud security role
· Familiarity with biometric modalities (fingerprint, facial, iris, voice) and the standards governing their collection and storage (e.g., EBTS).
· Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, with a strong preference for experience in their respective government clouds (e.g., AWS Gov Cloud, Azure Government).
· Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
