Senior Lead AI Engineer Generative AI Platform & Agentic AI - Capital One

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable generative AI platform that supports agentic AI services and model lifecycle management.
• Design, implement, and optimize large language model pipelines, including fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, and inference serving.
• Lead a cross‑functional team in adopting MLOps best practices, leveraging CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud native services on AWS.
• Collaborate with product, data, and security teams to ensure responsible AI, model governance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Mentor engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python and AI/ML frameworks such as Tensor Flow or PyTorch.
• Proven track record building and deploying large language models or generative AI solutions in production.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and MLOps tooling.
• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation, and building agentic AI workflows.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
