Summary:

FRDA is seeking a Project Manager with a security, IT, or engineering background to lead and coordinate a 7-person team delivering cyber security and engineering initiatives. This role is responsible for driving execution, maintaining accountability, and ensuring products are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.? In addition to PM responsibilities, they will also be a senior analyst to provide analytic support, report reviews, and assist with methodology development.

This role is ideal for someone looking to lead a driven, multi-disciplined team that is working together to mitigate real threats.

This role is onsite in Tysons, Virginia.

Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of a 7-person hybrid contract team, ensuring clear priorities and accountability.
• Maintain clear visibility into team progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders.
• Track progress and proactively address risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) or structured delivery processes as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between internal leadership and the contract team.
• Ensure alignment between security, engineering, and business stakeholders while upholding their confidence.
• Monitor and report on project status, including metrics, risks, and budget considerations.
• Drive documentation of project plans, decisions, and outcomes.
• Ensure deliverables are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and contractual expectations.

Requirements

Minimum
Qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience, preferably in security, IT, or engineering environments.
• Proven experience managing small-to-mid sized teams (5–10 people), including contractors or distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches).
• Experience using project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, , Smartsheet).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
  Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing security-related projects (e.g., SOC operations, automation, compliance initiatives)
• Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, cloud platforms, or security tooling.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
