Business Analyst

Trident Consulting is seeking a  Business Analyst  for one of our clients in  Tysons, VA

• 1. Expertise in Deposits, Loans, and Payments (ACH).
• 2. Strong knowledge and practical application of AI technologies and tools.
• 3. Ability to leverage AI to streamline requirements gathering, development activities, and UAT/testing efforts across the SDLC.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 5-10 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in Deposits, Loans, and Payments (ACH), along with hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve requirements gathering, documentation, software delivery, and testing processes. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and vendors to drive successful project delivery using Agile methodologies.

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement gathering sessions.
• Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, use cases, and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into well-defined Agile user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs in collaboration with Product Owners.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies to accelerate requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, and software delivery activities.
• Implement AI-driven approaches to improve SDLC efficiency and reduce development effort.
• Design and support AI-assisted testing strategies to optimize UAT efforts and improve defect detection.
• Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track requirements, defects, and project progress using JIRA and Agile tools.
• Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and production readiness activities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5-10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Banking or Financial Services experience is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.

• Experience with digital banking transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Lending, Deposit Operations, ACH, and Payments modernization programs.
• Experience using AI-powered productivity and SDLC tools.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, Scrum, or Agile certifications are a plus.
