- As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting customers within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
- In this role, you will help drive data-informed decision-making by collecting, transforming, integrating, and analyzing data to identify trends, assess performance, and create meaningful visualizations.
- Senior Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, protecting, and monitoring the organization’s High Value Assets (HVAs)—the systems, data, and services whose compromise would significantly impact mission, operations, or security.
- This role blends cybersecurity expertise, data analytics, and risk management to ensure HVAs are properly cataloged, continuously monitored, and safeguarded against evolving threats.
- Collect, integrate, and analyze complex datasets to uncover insights that support mission objectives.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments focused on threats, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts to HVAs.
- Use analytics tools to build dashboards, key risk indicators (KRIs), and trend analyses that support leadership decisions.
- Develop intuitive, interactive, and visually compelling dashboards (e.g., in Power BI) for users with a wide range of technical backgrounds.
- Define data requirements and ensure data is properly stored, accessible, and aligned with client needs.
- Create and maintain data governance documentation, tools, and templates.
- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to gather, understand, and refine requirements.
- Identify and document data quality and fidelity issues; provide recommendations for remediation.
- Build tools, resources, and reports to support data requests and ongoing analysis needs.
- Operate effectively in a hybrid work environment, including on-site client work, Guidehouse offices, and remote settings.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (or higher) security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- TWELEVE (12) or more years of experience in data analysis, engineering, data visualization, data integration, or database management OR TEN (10) years of experience with a Masters degree.
- Experience ensuring data accuracy and usability through data quality management and integration using tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards with Power BI.
- Knowledge of federal or enterprise HVA requirements and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of relational database design and structures.
- Hands-on experience with data wrangling and analysis in R or Python.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
