Liquid Kinetics is seeking a skilled Splunk Engineer to join our team and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Splunk-based data analytics and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing data ingestion, building dashboards, creating alerts, and ensuring the reliability and performance of the Splunk platform across various enterprise environments.

The Splunk Engineer will collaborate closely with security, operations, and engineering teams to deliver actionable insights from log and event data, helping to enhance system observability and security posture. This role requires a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage Splunk data inputs, indexes, and forwarders to ensure efficient data collection.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify data requirements and optimize data ingestion and retention strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, monitor system health and performance.
  • Implement best practices for Splunk deployment, configuration, and security.
  • Document Splunk configurations, workflows, and administration procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to users on Splunk query language (SPL) and analytics capabilities.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Proven experience administering and supporting Splunk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, data ingestion methods, and forwarder management.
  • Proficiency in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) for creating queries, reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex Splunk platform issues.
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to document technical procedures clearly and concisely.
