Overview
The Cloud Dev Sec Ops Architect provides architecture strategies supporting resiliency, scalability, modular design patterns, and capability re-use for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission.
Responsibilities- Recommend architectural changes and technology improvements to enhance security (zero trust), performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Integrate data analytics, AI/ML, and BI requirements into architecture and solution designs.
- Produce Solution Architecture Packages enabling government decision‑making for future target architectures
- Design and govern CI/CD architecture including automated builds, testing (functional, performance, security), deployments, and rollback strategies.
- Ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) alignment with VA cloud compliance standards.
- Implement observability (“Monitoring as Code”) across infrastructure, OS, application, and integrations.
- Build and maintain Dev Sec Ops pipelines supporting multiple technology stacks (.Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, etc.).
- Define and deliver monitoring plans, dashboards, Dev Sec Ops maturity metrics, and automated testing reports.
- Ensure automated security testing, static/dynamic scanning, and compliance checks are integrated into CI/CD.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree with 7-10 years' experience
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev Sec Ops tooling (Jenkins, Git Hub, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar, Terraform, Cloud Formation, Azure Dev Ops).
- Expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and VA Enterprise Cloud operational requirements.
- Strong knowledge of security standards (NIST, RMF), ATO processes, zero trust, and vulnerability remediation
- Familiarity with multiple development stacks: .Net Core, Java, JavaScript frameworks, SQL, Python, Bash, Groovy.
- Experience leading cross-functional Dev Sec Ops , Agile, and System Teams.
- Public Trust
- Experience with AWS VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC)
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops
Salary Range: $175,000-$200,000
This role is in the proposal stage. The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
