Dev Technology Group is looking for a Software Developer to supporta project to plan and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for web-based applications as part of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for afederal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevantdevelopmentexperience,understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM),strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment.

Summary

In collaboration with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and incumbent team members, the Software Developer will help to plan,design, and prototype the implementation ofsecureuserauthentication mechanisms for web-based applications.

The primary focus of this role is to deliver a robust MFAsolutionleveragingindustry available and a customer preferred identity provider(IdP) solution.

Required Education, Experience, and

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s Degree withseven(7) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
Experience with identity and access managementandsingle sign-on, preferably with

Microsoft Entra
Project experience developing and integratinguserauthentication workflow withweb-based applications, for example

Spring security
Excellent communication skills(both verbal and written) plusactivelistening skillsto collaborate with a large cross functional team
Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanbanmethodologyvia Jira

Preferred Education, Experience, and

Skills:

Knowledge and implementation of MFA solutions, specifically

IdP’sAWS Cognito, Okta,Microsoft Entra , and/or Login.gov
Knowledge and management of AWS Gov Cloud services,preferable

Cognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway
Experience with

Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD pipelines, automated builds,containerized environments,and version control using Jenkins or a similar tool
Understanding of tokens, authentication and authorization and best secure coding practices
Familiarity with implementing phishing-resistant MFA protocols, including PIV/CAC integration or authentication standards
Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
Experience implementing password policies and account recovery flows
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)
