Job Description Janus Soft is seeking an elite UI/UX Developer to shape the user experience and visual design of critical digital products on Project Shining Star in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will lead human-centered design efforts by conducting user research to understand complex audience needs and translating those insights into high-impact wireframes and interactive prototypes. You will collaborate closely with product managers, system architects, and software engineers to engineer intuitive, cohesive interfaces across multiple mission applications, directly supporting high-consequence defense and intelligence operations.

Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

UX/UI Design & Research:
Proven track record in user research, translating requirements into functional UI components, and wire framing.

Visual & Structural Design:
Strong command of color theory, grid systems, and crafting scalable, visually appealing layouts.

Engineering

Collaboration:

Demonstrated ability to bridge design concepts with technical implementation alongside agile development teams.

Advanced prototyping expertise using industry-standard tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and responsive/mobile-first design principles.

Experience building and maintaining unified design systems and reusable component libraries.

Proficiency in micro-interaction and UI animation design.

Hands-on experience conducting structured usability testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
