The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, results-driven leader in commercial lending and related financial services, able to provide both strategic and day-to-day management of a centralized credit team charged with leading the credit team, managing credit-related projects and relationships, overseeing credit compliance, managing credit risk, managing credit personnel, and handling reporting related to Credit Review. The Chief Credit Officer & Executive Vice President will lead efforts to drive efficiencies and process improvements while ensuring timely and accurate team deliverables.

Your role as Chief Credit Officer & Executive Vice President:
  • Participate as an executive officer in the leadership of Breakout Finance, including as its Chief Credit Officer & Executive Vice President, strategist, and credit risk officer
  • Chair the Credit and Risk Committee; grant exceptions to credit policy and underwriting guidelines, subject to Credit and Risk Committee approval
  • Lead credit strategy and portfolio analysis, compliance, and optimization
  • Lead credit innovation, including development, testing, and implementation of new products and features
  • Lead administration of, and compliance with, credit facilities, participation and syndication arrangements, and forward flow arrangements
  • Lead relationships with all vendors related to credit, including credit risk
  • Lead integration of credit products and services with technology providers
  • Demonstrate leadership, strong people management skills, and excellent project management
  • Manage the Credit Operations team of Underwriters, Closing Specialists, and Managers, including their reviews and career development at Breakout Finance.
  • Develop structure and manage project plans in a complex, dynamic environment, iterating on plans as priorities shift and requirements evolve
  • Lead a range of projects by providing strategic and tactical direction to peers and direct reports, as well as influence and guide the senior leadership team
  • Design credit and risk policy and drive process improvement opportunities, ensuring cross-organizational buy-in and execution, with an eye to increased efficiencies and quality work product
  • Creatively resolve complex challenges, escalates process breaks, and work closely with stakeholders as part of remediation and solution
  • Inspire, motivate, and promote open communication, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion
  • Drive collaboration across all areas of Credit Operations to ensure consistency, sharing of best practices, and optimization of resources and talent
