In this position, the incumbent will compute, classify, and analyze numerical data and financial records. The incumbent must also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions.

Position location: Tysons Corner, VA

Travel: This position will require travel to other project sites as needed

Responsibilities
  • Enter orders in our CMS system and work orders in Infralink system.
  • Create, submit, and post billings for various contract types and assist in managing accounts receivable and under‑billings for large multi‑year projects and programs.
  • Provide cost analysis on projects.
  • Engage with project management team to develop accurate budgets and manpower forecasts for multi‑year programs.
  • Perform weekly budget-to-actual analysis, identify root causes for variances, and communicate findings with project managers.
  • Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure projects remain cash‑positive; adjust forecasts as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely complex billing submissions each month.
  • Conduct contract reconciliations and track change orders to reflect correct values.
  • Provide ad‑hoc reporting for project managers and executives.
  • Conduct monthly Key Project Reviews (KPR).
  • Assist project team with monthly financial forms: provide cost analysis and explain variances.
  • Help preparation of monthly financial forms for management review.
  • Justify all variances (fades/gains) to maintain correctness.
  • Lead procurement planning: develop detailed procurement plan post‑award, ensuring compliance and logistics.
  • Help procure the job according to plan by 20% completion.
  • Perform monthly actual versus plan analysis, justify changes before adjusting plan.
  • Enter orders in CMS system timely; create work orders in Infralink; produce monthly billing; resolve billing concerns; post invoices in customer and company systems; prepare data for reports; participate in weekly regional meetings; monitor contract compliance and billing reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Be able to work collaboratively and interact effectively with team members.
  • Be a self-starter; problem solver and able to work independently.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
