Job Description
A Sales Engineering Manager at Strategy plays an integral role in the sales of our world class enterprise platform to deploy unique analytics and mobility applications. The person will be responsible for managing all facets of the sales engineering function for the Latin American team, including leading the most important sales cycles, ensuring technical and professional excellence, and recruiting, developing, and training a team of Sales Engineers.
- Conduct technical and business positioning and demonstrations of the Strategy platform at important customer engagements or events.
- Deep understanding of the implementation of the entire suite of Strategy software in rapid deployment and proof of concept scenarios.
- Sales Cycle Leadership: personally involved in the most critical sales cycles in the assigned region to maximize success, including individual contributions.
- Effectiveness and High-Quality Dedication: ensure the team is up to speed on the latest positioning and demonstration content and practices; deliver high‑quality deliverables to customers following best practices.
- Sales Engineering Economy: motivate the team to share best practices, analyze market trends, and actively contribute to the SE economy.
- Recruiting, Developing, and Managing: recruit and develop top‑caliber Sales Engineers; onboard new hires and ensure all engineers are ready for sales cycles; manage tasks to the highest quality standards.
- Company and Sales Engineering Process Support: lead compliance with company and Sales Engineering processes and systems.
- Resource Allocation: monitor SE‑supported sales cycles, identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or resource conflicts.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent business or technical education; 3–5 years’ experience in Sales Engineering; leadership or management experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Exceptional oral, presentation, and written communication skills; demonstrated creative problem‑solving ability.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Ability to articulate complex topics to both novice and technical audiences, translating technical advantages into business benefits.
- Engaged, positive attitude with the ability to prioritize in a demanding environment.
- Experience with Business Analytics and Mobility systems (major plus); general knowledge of RDBMS, OLAP, client/server, and web/internet technologies; successful completion of Strategy certification program upon employment.
- Ability to travel as required.
