- Completion of a Plumbing technical training program or recognized apprenticeship (preferred).
- Journeyman License or ability to obtain one within 6 months if not currently held.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information;
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance required.
- Maintains and upgrades plumbing equipment and piping.
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all plumbing-related equipment.
- Reports to the Shift Operating Engineer.
- Responsible for maintaining and upgrading plumbing equipment, piping, etc.
- Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, installing and/or repairing various plumbing equipment (water heaters, drinking fountains, toilets, sinks, etc.) throughout the facility.
- High school diploma or GED and 6+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Commercial plumbing experience as a truck-based service technician.
- Experience working with complex plumbing systems including chiller piping, boiler piping, hydronic piping and system troubleshooting, backflow prev enters, and pipe fitting and repair.
- Completion of a plumbing technical training program or recognized apprenticeship (preferred).
- Journeyman license or ability to obtain one within 6 months if not currently held.
- Holistic understanding of plumbing systems and plumbing design in commercial and industrial environments.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
- Strong understanding of plumbing tools, machines and their proper maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment to perform diagnostic and repair work.
- Ability to complete timely documentation including maintenance reports, service tickets, and daily safety briefings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Ability to travel occasionally outside normal working areas; may require limited overnight travel.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and safely.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills down to individual plumbing component level on boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, heat pumps, and CRAC units.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, schematics, and system plans.
- Current Master Plumbing License or equivalent technical degree.
- Current CFC/EPA Universal Certification.
- Strong customer-relation skills with ability to provide proactive recommendations to clients.

- Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision, the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Identifies when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
- Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- Sees details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Listens to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
USD $35.00 - $42.00 /Hr.
