The Judge Group's direct client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced "Java Developer" in McLean, VA 22102 (Tysons), and this is a Hybrid role.

About the Role:

Join the Tracker team, responsible for building and maintaining secure, high-quality applications that support payment preparation and tracking. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable backend solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test new application features with a focus on quality, performance, security, and reliability
• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain REST APIs and third-party system integrations
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews and promote coding, security, and quality best practices
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and resolve production defects
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for design, development, and testing activities
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Evaluate technical solutions and provide implementation estimates

Required

Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience designing and integrating systems using REST APIs
• Knowledge of HTTP and TCP/IP based applications
• Experience working with XML and JSON
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with databases, storage technologies, and RHEL/Linux environments
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Artifactory, and Confluence
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and Dev Ops practices
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Type Script
• Understanding of security technologies such as PKI, HMAC, AES, SSL, and digest algorithms
