Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer

Overview

Under general supervision, the Staff Software Engineer assists in developing software products and works on improving the overall quality of the product throughout the software development life cycle.

• Work on problems of moderate scope requiring judgment within defined procedures and practices.
• Write code that is flexible, reusable, efficient, and adaptable to changing requirements.
• Ensure completion of tasks and quality of work; support peers to maintain consistent team delivery.
• Build tools, produce technical documentation, and drive developer efficiency.
• Analyze systems to determine properties and functions of each component.
• Recommend viable alternatives when priorities shift and build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Share knowledge within the team and support collaboration, both in‑person and virtually.

• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals – algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and data structures.
• Experience in object‑oriented development.
• Experience with cloud technologies and data storage technologies.
• Experience with Dev Ops, CI/CD, test automation and unit testing.
• Understanding of software security.
• Capable of building tools, documenting technical details, and aligning solutions with team goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least two years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
• Understanding of system design.
